GCSE and IGCSE Combined Science: Trilogy
Edexcel, AQA, OCR, CIE, WJEC
This series of three one day courses is suitable for all students studying GCSE and IGCSE Combined Science: Trilogy.
We will clarify areas of a subject that are of most concern to individual students based on a detailed analysis of their requirements before the course. This will ensure that our tutors design a bespoke programme and cover relevant examination questions and techniques during the course.
Our three one day courses will cover the following specific areas:
Biology: cell biology, genetics, natural selection and genetic modification, organisation, exchange and transport in animals, plant structures and their functions, infection and response, health disease and the development of medicine, bioenergetics, animal coordination, control and homeostasis and response, inheritance, variation, evolution, ecology, ecosystems and material cycles
Chemistry: atomic structure and the periodic table, bonding, structure and the properties of matter, quantitative chemistry, chemical changes, energy changes, the rate and extent of chemical changes, organic chemistry, extracting metals and equilibria, chemical analysis, rates of reaction and energy changes, chemistry of the atmosphere, using resources, fuels and earth science
Physics: energy, electricity, particle model of matter, atomic structure, motion, forces, waves, light, magnetism and electromagnetism, radioactivity.
Our experience shows that small groups create the right balance between discussion and independent learning with tutors able to devote considerable time to individual students.
Classes are never larger than eight at GCSE. They are very rarely smaller than three.
Dates: Revision School
Our intensive revision courses run throughout the Easter holidays starting at 9am and ending at 5pm each day.
There is an hour for lunch and short morning and afternoon breaks.
£125 per day
